Sunday, May 22 – Guest Speaker Lesley Robinson – Comfort Cases
Comfort Cases are backpacks filled with comfort and personal care items
for youth entering the foster care system. Please see attached flyer for items needed. Cash or purchased donations can be brought to the church on or before May 22nd.
Lesley writes, “I need everything from pj’s to blankets to toiletries to books to socks & stuffed animals. I also need volunteers to ribbon pjs and blankets, bag toiletries, and pack the Comfort Cases. Drivers are always needed to take the Cases to the agencies who distribute them. I also need quart and gallon-sized ziplock bags.

Church Council meets Friday, May 20th at noon in the Fellowship Hall and on Zoom.
The Thorsen Awards Panel will meet Tues. May 24 at 4 pm in the church Fellowship Hall.
The Christian Education Committee will be hosting "Breakfast on the Green" at the
Memorial Day Celebration in the Hancock village square on Monday, May 30th, and we need your help! We will be offering a variety of breakfast sandwiches and muffins, coffee and juice boxes, and would be grateful for our congregations' support. A sign-up sheet will be available on Sunday, May 22 and you can bring items to church on Sunday, May 29.

10 packages of English muffins (6 each bag)
5 packages of American or cheddar cheese (20 slice count package)

3 packages of deli ham or Canadian bacon
2 pints creamer
1/2 gallon milk
Assorted juice boxes and small bottled water
2 rolls of tinfoil
We have a clothing sale scheduled for Friday, June 3rd & Saturday, June 4th and need your donations of Spring and Summer gently used clothing. Contact Pat Summerer for more info.

The State of Maine is giving $850 to every Maine resident, beginning in June.
In order to receive this check, you must fill out your 2021 ME tax form 1040.
If you or someone you know have not filed because your income falls below the need to file, call the Maine Tax Helpline at (207) 624-9784 (Mon-Fri 9am-noon) or download a form at this link: file:///Users/marydimarco/Downloads/1040.pdf .
You can also call (207) 624-9784 for help filling out the form.
Even though the tax deadline has passed, it is not too late to file for this $850.
People who do not file will not receive this benefit.

Please consider making a donation to offset the $1160. that the Church Council voted to give the Town of Hancock for one of two DOT flashing speed limit signs that will be strategically placed on each end of town as traffic calming measures.

The Outreach Committee is in the early stages of inviting a parent/child play group to use our Fellowship Hall on Wednesdays from 10:00-11:30.

This Sunday we will gather in the sanctuary at 10:00 a.m., livestream the service via Zoom and stay to visit during Zoom Coffee Hour at the conclusion of the service. Also, you can watch the service on Facebook or YouTube at any time after it is recorded. Join us in whatever ways are best for you.
