We cannot own the sunlit sky, the moon, the wild-flowers growing, for we are part of all that is within life’s river flowing. With open hands receive and share the gifts of God’s creation, that all may have abundant life in every earthly nation.
Please hold these beloved people and situations in your daily prayers –
All those in Ukraine, Russia, Europe, Africa, Asia, the world – living in war and violence…
We continue our prayers for all those grieving deaths of loved ones…
We continue prayers of compassion, healing, and hope for those in need… Fran… Fran’s grandson Jake… Nick’s sister Susan… Vicky’s brother Royce… Steve & Myrna… Austin’s cousin Danny… Tamara & Andrew… Renata and the women she cares for… Betty J… Betty’s step-daughter Mollie… Kenny and Marcia… Annie & Reed… Carolyn & Michael… Eleanor’s step-daughter Holly … Tom & Judy’s son Andrew and his family… Danny and Clementine… Cynthia & Nancy… all caregivers… all struggling with mental health issues… all individuals and families experiencing addictions… those having or recovering from surgery … those experiencing sudden illness… those suffering chronic pain … those awaiting tests and diagnoses … those affected by memory loss … those living with depression …

This Covenant of Care statement of the Maine Conference of the United Church of Christ was recently unanimously accepted and approved by our Board of Deacons and our Church Council. You will begin to see it on our website, Facebook page, and Church Flyers.
We covenant to care for one another and offer compassion in thought, word, and deed.
We will listen to learn, inquire to understand, and speak for hope and not harm.
In both similarities and differences, we will ask for God’s grace and offer it freely to one another. Above all else, we will love and respect one another.
