*Hymn       What a Friend We Have in Jesus                              Hymns of Truth & Light #442

What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!Oh, what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear,all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer!Can we find a friend so faithful, who will all our sorrows share?Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer!

Are we weak and heavy laden, burdened with a load of care?Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer!Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer!In his arms he'll take and shield you, you will find a solace there.

Prayers of the People – Sharing Joys & Concerns

   Our Father (Creator, Mother) who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,

   thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us

   our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

       Lead me Lord, lead me in thy righteousness, make thy way plain before my face.

      For it is thou Lord, thou Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety.

Invitation to Offering

*Prayer of Dedication

Lord, you are the giver of every good gift. Accept these offerings we pray, that through them we may do justice, and love kindness, and walk humbly with you, our Sovereign and our God.

*Hymn        Be Thou My Vision                                                  Hymns of Truth & Light #445

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; naught be all else to me save that thou art.

Thou my best thought, by day or by night, waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true word; I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord;

thou my Redeemer, my love thou hast won; thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one.

Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise, thou mine inheritance, now and always;

thou and thou only, first in my heart, Ruler of heaven, my treasure thou art.

High King of heaven, my victory won, may I reach heaven's joys, O bright heaven's Sun!

Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, still be my vision, O ruler of all.
