Silent Prayer

Holy God, you alone are worthy of honor and praise. Open our eyes to see the world as you see it. Give us the wisdom to witness your presence in all people. Transform us in love, grow us in our faith, call us to love with a full heart and to share your promises with all people. Amen

Announcements

Prelude Arioso J.S.Bach/Biggs

Welcome

Love divine, all loves excelling, joy of heaven on earth be found,

Fix in us a humble dwelling, all your faithful mercies crown;

Jesus, you are all compassion; pure, unbounded love impart.

Visit us with your salvation, enter every trembling heart.

*Call to Worship

One: Come, let us ground ourselves in the sacred wonder of this ordinary day,

All: for the Holy infuses all of our lives.

One: Let us gather together expectantly,

All: for the Living God sets the table for all Her Beloveds.

One: Let us rejoice,

All: for Love is not earned but freely given.

One: Our birthright is Belonging,

All: Let us welcome one another in.

*Hymn Wherever I May Wander R. #64

Where-ev-er I may wander, where-ev-er I may be, I'm cer-tain of my Mak-er's love; God's care is o-ver me. God made the great high moun-tains, and made the wide blue sea; God made the sky where air-planes fly; God made the world, and me.

Through-out the whole cre-a-tion I see God's lov-ing care for ev-ery-one in ev-ery land, God's chil-dren ev-ery-where. Where-ev-er I may wan-der, where-ev-er I may be, I'm cer-tain of my Mak-er's love; God's care is o-ver me.

*Invocation (spoken in unison)

God of Wisdom, open us to the work of your Spirit, that we may hear and faithfully respond to your holy Word. Amen

Message                                                                                                             Rev. TJ Mack

*Hymn Won’t You Let Me Be Your Servant? B. #539

Won’t you let me be your ser-vant, let me be as Christ to you?

Pray that I may have the grace to let you be my servant, too.

We are pil-grims on a jour-ney, we are trav-elers on the road;

We are here to help each oth-er go the mile and bear the load.

I will hold the Christ-light for you in the shad-ow of your fear;

I will hold my hand out to you, speak the peace you long to hear.

I will weep when you are wee-ping; when you laugh, I’ll laugh with you.

I will share your joy and sor-row till we’ve seen this jou-rney through.

When we sing to God in heav-en we shall find such har-mo-ny,

Born of all we’ve known to-geth-er of Christ’s love and ag-o-ny.

Won’t you let me be your ser-vant, let me be as Christ to you?

Pray that I may have the grace to let you be my ser-vant, too.

Prayers of the People – Sharing Joys & Concerns

Lead Me Lord

Lead me Lord, lead me in thy righteousness, make thy way plain before my face.

For it is thou Lord, thou Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety.

Offering – God gives us more grace than we can ever earn and sustains us in ways we cannot imagine. With a spirit of generosity, let us freely offer ourselves and our gifts to the world.

Offertory O For the Wings Of A Dove Mendelssohn/Rideout

*The Doxology

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise God, all creatures here below;

Praise God for all that love has done; Creator, Christ, and Spirit, One. Amen

*Prayer of Dedication (spoken in unison)

God of grace, we give thanks for your faithfulness to us, we give thanks for your hope in us, we rejoice in the knowledge of your unending grace. In the light of your mercy, and confident in your love, we dedicate these offerings, and ourselves, to you. Amen

*Hymn As We Gather at Your Table R. #314

As we gath-er at your table, as we lis-ten to your word,

help us know, O God, your pres-ence; let our hearts and minds be stirred.

Nour-ish us with sa-cred story till we claim it as our own;

teach us through this ho-ly ban-quet how to make Love's vic-tory known.

Turn our wo-rship in-to wit-ness in the sac-ra-ment of life;

send us forth to love and serve you, bring-ing peace where there is strife.

Give us, Christ, your great com-pas-sion to for-give as you for-gave;

may we still be-hold your im-age in the world you died to save.

Gra-cious Spir-it, help us sum-mon oth-er guests to share that feast

where tri-um-phant Love will wel-come those who had been last and least.

There no more will en-vy blind us nor will pride our peace de-stroy,

as we join with saints and an-gels to re-peat the sound-ing joy.

*Blessing

*Sung Benediction Go With Us, Lord R. #336

That in your Spirit strong and true our lives may be our gift to you.
