*Hymn Be Now My Vision (verses 1 & 2) B. #451
Be now my vi-sion, O God of my heart; noth-ing sur-pass-es the love you im-part–
You my best thought, by day or by night, wak-ing or sleep-ing, your pres-ence my light.
Be now my wis-dom, and be my true word;
ever with-in me, my soul is as-sured;
Moth-er and Fath-er, you are both to me, now and for-ev-er your child I will be.
*Invocation (spoken in unison)
God of Wisdom, we eagerly seek your presence in our lives and in the world. By your Spirit, speak your word to us, and give us your grace to recognize the abundant signs
of your care for us, so that we might be freed to act in the world with courage and abandon. Amen
Children’s Message
Recognition of Long-Term Members – All present are invited to stand as acknowledged.
One: O God, what an abundance of gifts these people have to offer:
Musical talent, the melody of laughter, the use of their hands in cooking and repairs, the use of their minds in problem solving, curiosity, compassion, patience, urgency, spiritual reservoirs, financial resources, obedience, and courage to act. All these gifts, and others which bear their personal marks, are symbolized in their offerings for the work of the church.
All those being recognized today: (in unison)
O God, giver of all good, who continually pours your benefits upon us, of your faithfulness there is no end and your care is unfailing. We praise you that the mystery of our life is a mystery of infinite goodness. We praise you for the order and constancy of nature; for the beauty and bounty of the earth; for day and night, summer and winter, seedtime and harvest; for the varied gifts of loveliness and use which every season brings. We remain one with Christ, committed to the life and work of this church.
Congregation: O God, we are made glad by the good news of your love for these, your humble servants. We thank you for creating them and giving them all that is necessary for life in Christ. Help us to remember the gifts received through the heart, mind, hands, and feet of these faithful so that we may continually learn, grow, and praise you with lives of joy and service; through Jesus Christ. Amen

*Hymn God, Who Stretched the Spangled Heavens R. #67
God, who stretched the spangled heavens, infinite in time and place,
flung the suns in burning radiance through the silent fields of space,
we, your children, in your likeness, share inventive powers with you.
Great Creator, still creating, show us what we yet may do.
We have ventured worlds undreamed of since the childhood of our race;
known the ecstasy of winging through uncharted realms of space;
probed the secrets of the atom, yielding unimagined power,
facing us with life's destruction or our most triumphant hour.
As each far horizon beckons, may it challenge us anew,
children of creative purpose, serving others, honoring you.
May our dreams prove rich with promise, each endeavor well begun.
Great Creator, give us guidance till our goals and yours are one.
Prayers of the People – Sharing Joys & Concerns
Lead Me Lord
Lead me Lord, lead me in thy righteousness, make thy way plain before my face.
For it is thou Lord, thou Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety.
Offering – Welcoming our Tithes and Offerings – Let us keep dreams of thriving alive for ourselves and one another by gathering our shared resources on this day.
Offertory The Peace Handel/Biggs
*The Doxology
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God for all that love has done; Creator, Christ, and Spirit, One. Amen
*Prayer of Dedication (spoken in unison)
Out of faithfulness to your radical and creative love, oh God, we give these offerings to our community, and in doing so, give them to you. The Holy Spirit moves within us and among us. Thanks be to God. Amen
*Hymn How Great Thou Art Insert
1. O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder,
consider all the worlds thy hands have made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Refrain
Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to thee.
How great thou art, how great thou art.
Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to thee.
How great thou art, how great thou art.
2. When though the woods, and forest glades I wander,
I hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
and hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze.
Refrain
3. And when I think of Jesus' life of giving;
A love so wide that no one is left out.
No cross or tomb can stop the Word from living,
and so, inspired, I raise my voice and shout.
Refrain
4. In life, in death, in life beyond our ending,
in God's great love, is where we find our rest.
With joyful hearts and thankful voices blending,
the whole creation knows itself as blest.
Refrain
*Blessing
*Sung Benediction Go With Us, Lord R. #336
