Arise, your light is come! The Spirit’s call obey;

Show forth the glory of your God which shines on you today.

*Call to Worship

One: People of God, on this wilderness journey, what will you eat?

All: The word of the Lord is our daily bread.

One: People of God, in this time of temptation, how will you live?

All: Our faith is in the faithfulness of God.

One: People of God, at this kingdom crossroad, whom will you serve?

All: We worship the Lord our God alone.

*Hymn Those Who Wait Upon the Lord The Pilgrim Lodge Hymnal, page 1

Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up on wings as eagles,

They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint,

Help us Lord, help us Lord, in thy way.

Those who worship God on high shall renew their strength…

Those who know the mystery…

Those who love the Lord, our God…

Those who see the Risen Lord…

Those who live the global style…

Those who take care of God’s world…

Those who go to Pilgrim Lodge…

*Invocation (spoken in unison)

O Lord, may the words of your mouth be our daily bread, and may the leading of your Spirit become our way in the world. Amen

*Hymn Open My Eyes That I May See The Pilgrim Lodge Hymnal, page 78

O-pen my eyes, that I may see, Glimpses of truth Thou hast for me; Place in my hands the won-der-ful key That shall un-clasp, and set me free.

Silently now I wait for Thee, Read-y, my God, Thy will to see;

Open my eyes, illumine me, Spir-it di-vine!

O-pen my ears, that I may hear, Voices of truth Thou send-est clear; And while the wave-notes fall on my ear, Ev-’ry-thing false will dis-ap-pear.

Silently now I wait for Thee, Read-y, my God, Thy will to see;

Open my eyes, illumine me, Spir-it di-vine!

O-pen my mouth and let me bear, Gladly the warm truth ev-’ry-where; O-pen my heart and let me pre-pare, Love with Thy chil-dren thus to share.

Silently now I wait for Thee, Read-y, my God, Thy will to see;

Open my eyes, illumine me, Spir-it di-vine!

Prayers of the People – Sharing Joys & Concerns

Our Father (Creator, Mother) who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

Lead me Lord, lead me in thy righteousness, make thy way plain before my face.

For it is thou Lord, thou Lord, only, that makest me dwell in safety.

Invitation to Offering – As God so freely offers us the gift of life in Jesus Christ, let us respond with gratitude, offering our gifts to God.

Offertory Pastorale Craig Penfield

*The Doxology

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise God, all creatures here below;

Praise God for all that love has done; Creator, Christ, and Spirit, One. Amen

*Prayer of Dedication (spoken in unison)

We give you thanks and praise, O God, for the free and abundant gift of grace you have given us. Let the simple gifts of our lives be a sign of our unending gratitude for your undying love; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

*Hymn Camp and Grow The Pilgrim Lodge Hymnal, page 84

Move out et-ern-al child of God, your spir-it to re-new. Camp and grow (camp and grow), camp and grow (camp and grow). Come gath-er all you peo-ple, No mat-ter young or old. We’re head-in’ for a camp-out, Come let your spir-it grow. We’ll see some rocks and riv-ers, enjoy God’s great out-doors. When friendship grows from strang-ers, We’ll love it all the more.

Move out et-ern-al child of God, your spir-it to re-new. Camp and grow (camp and grow), camp and grow (camp and grow). When Je-sus was a teach-er, He trav-eled through the land. He used the seeds and weath-er to tell of God’s great plan. He walked up-on the sea-shore, He taught up-on the hills, and ev-ry-where he jour-neyed he healed the lame and ill.

Move out et-ern-al child of God, your spir-it to re-new. Camp and grow (camp and grow), camp and grow (camp and grow). From dust our God has made us, to dust we shall re-turn. Our lives are linked and join-ted with this cre-a-ted earth. So as we seek to love God our hope shall al-ways be to care for all cre-a-tion and live in har-mo-ny.

Move out et-ern-al child of God, your spir-it to re-new. Camp and grow (camp and grow), camp and grow (camp and grow). O’ we’re God’s pil-grim peo-ple, we’re hap-py we can go to all the earth’s far cor-ners where e’er the wind may blow. We’ll sing of joy in sun-shine, we’ll sing of joy in rain. No mat-ter what the weath-er, our song is still the same.

*Blessing

*Sung Benediction The Christian Edelweiss The Pilgrim Lodge Hymnal, page 56

May the Lord, Mighty God, bless and keep you forever;

Grant you peace, perfect peace, strength in every endeavor.

Lift your eyes and see God’s face;

Love will leave you never.

May the Lord, Mighty God, bless and keep you forever.
